About Polynesian Botanicals ~

Polynesian Botanicals was founded in 2005 and is a Natural Tropical Luxury Skincare and Spa line featuring nature's finest ingredients from the Polynesian Islands and around the world. Our products are natural, organic and/or wild crafted. We use pure essential oils, herbal infusions, and natural fruit extracts from tropical fruits such as coconuts, pineapples, mangos and papaya. We also use natural nourishing and moisturizing luxury tropical oils such as Monoi de Tahiti from the French Polynesian islands, kukui nut, and macadamia nut, tamanu, papaya and jojoba oils. Only the finest ingredients available from the Polynesian islands and around the world are formulated into our products. All of our products are “paraben, sodium lauryl sulfate and cruelty free” not to mention, all packaging is recyclable and/or biodegradable to help save our vulnerable environment.

We wanted to share some interesting facts about Polynesian ancestors and the islands. Polynesians discovered the secrets of healthy skin by using native botanicals over a thousand years ago, well before major "cosmetic" brands existed in the personal care industry, and It is no wonder that Polynesian's have a reputation of pure and beautiful skin. The word Polynesia means "many islands". The Polynesian Islands consist of thousands of islands such as Hawaii, (Maori) New Zealand, Rapa Nui, Fiji, Marquesas, Tahiti, Cook Islands, Niue, Samoa, and Tonga. In addition, The Polynesian islands cover a huge triangular type shape and encompass approximately 17 million square miles of ocean; "now that's a lot of land and ocean".

Kathy McCarthy is the Founder of Polynesian Botanicals. She has had an endless love for the Polynesian Islands through her extensive traveling experiences to the islands and around the world. Through her travels she realized the importance of natural ingredients and that the skincare products she craved did not exist here at home. Over a decade ago she trained in Beverly Hills as a Beauty Specialist & Consultant for a prestigious "high end" cosmetic and skin care line based out of New York, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Latin America & Asia and after a successful journey as a beauty specialist & consultant she new then that one day she would begin her own skin care and spa line. Then one day out of her creative spirit and desire to offer luxury, natural, quality skincare with the purist and finest natural ingredients available Polynesian Botanicals was born.

Kathy has an extensive background in herbal & aroma therapy. She brings with her over a decade of experience in the skin care industry and a wealth of knowledge in the personal care business. She's a member of: The National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy and The American Botanical Council. In Addition, Kathy is a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild and The American Federation of TV and Radio Artists as well as, Women In Film and has been active in the entertainment industry off and on for the past 10 years. She has worked in front of and behind the camera as an actress, producer, writer and director appearing and/or working on TV, Music Videos, Commercials and Film. When on hiatus, she focuses most of her time researching, formulating and developing new additions to her skincare and spa collection. Kathy currently resides with her husband near the beautiful & tropical American Riviera Santa Barbara, California.

We believe that what we put on our skin is as important as what we eat and that it's equally important to nourish and moisturize our skin with natural and organic ingredients. Even though most of us do not reside in the beautiful, tranquil and pristine tropical Polynesian Islands we can however, bring the island(s) botanicals home to you.
